Meal Plans
How do I sign up for a meal plan?
On-Campus -First year resident students are automatically assigned the Two-A-Day Plan unless they choose a different plan. Returning students are assigned the same plan they had the prior semester, unless they choose a different plan. The deadline for making meal plan changes is the third Friday from the start of each semester.
Commuter, Off-Campus and Townhome - These students may select any on-the-go meal plan or resident meal plan. Students who sign up for a fall meal plan will automatically be enrolled in the same meal plan for the spring semester, unless they request a change.
Back to top. How do I change my meal plan?
Students have until the third Friday of each semester to choose a different plan. Students can change their meal plan online, at the BASC Business Office located on the first floor of Brockway Hall or by calling (585) 395-2570. The change will then be reflected on your student bill.

Which Flex Club Plan (not available to first year residents) should I choose?
If you are interested in a Flex Club Plan, but are unsure which one is right for you we recommend that you select the Traveler Plan. You can always add Dining Dollars at any time and in any increment if you run low. However, any Dining Dollars remaining at the end of an academic year are forfeited.

Where can I use my meal plan?
Depending on the plan you have, you either have "meals", Dining Dollars, or a combination of the two. "Meals" can only be used at one of the all-you-care-to-eat dining halls (Brockway and Harrison). Dining Dollars can be used at any dining location, although the best value is to use them at the dining halls.
Meal exchanges, part of the Flex Five Plan, can be used at any retail dining location. Meal exchanges are for the meal plan holder's use only. Only one meal exchange may be used per meal period. For purposes of the meal exchange, meal periods and exchange amounts are as follows:
- Monday - Friday
Breakfast: 7:30 - 10:44 am ($5 meal exchange)
Lunch: 10:45 am - 3:14 pm ($6 meal exchange)
Dinner: 3:15 - 9:45 pm ($7 meal exchange)
Late Night: 9:46 pm - 1 am ($6 meal exchange)
- Saturday - Sunday
Brunch: Noon - 3:14 pm ($6 meal exchange)
Dinner: 3:15 - 9:45 pm ($7 meal exchange)
Late Night: 9:46 pm - 1 am ($6 meal exchange)

What does continuous service at Brockway Dining Hall mean?
Brockway Dining Hall is open Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 7:30 pm and on Fridays from 7:30 am - 2 pm. In between meal periods (10 - 11 am and 2 - 4 pm), limited menu options are available. For example, between 10 - 11 am, limited hot breakfast and/or lunch items may be available. From 2 - 4 pm, salad, soup, deli, fruit, cereal, ice cream, and beverages are available.
Since Brockway Dining Hall offers continuous service, for what meal will I be charged?
For students on the Two-A-Day and Unlimited Plans, you will use a "meal" to dine at Brockway Dining Hall no matter what time you go. If you are paying with any other form of payment (Dining Dollars, Easy Money, cash, debit/credit card) the following times are for meal pricing only:
- 7:30 - 10:44 am - Breakfast Price
- 10:45 am - 3:14 pm - Lunch Price
- 3:15 - 7:30 pm - Dinner Price

I'm on the Flex Five Plan. How do I use my exchange at a retail (non-dining hall) location?
Before the cashier swipes your card, tell them you'd like to use your meal exchange. If you don't inform them prior to swiping, the system will look for an alternate form of payment on your card, drawing from Dining Dollars first (if you have them) and then Easy Money. That's why it is important to let the cashier know before giving them your card that you'd like to use a meal exchange.
What happens if I spend more than the allotted meal exchange amount (part of the Flex Five Plan)?
You will have to pay the balance using another form of payment. Keep in mind that if you pay for the balance using cash, credit card or Easy Money there will be tax. Any payments using Dining Dollars are tax-free.
If my meal exchange totals less than the allotted amount, do I receive cash back?
No.
Can I use my meal exchange at the Eagle's Nest Convenience Store to buy things like lip balm and detergent?
No. Meal plans (including the meal exchange and Dining Dollars) may only be used for food items.
I have the Unlimited Plan. What does that mean?
It means that you can eat as many meals as you like at Brockway or Harrison Dining Halls. You never have to worry about running out. Just remember that your meal plan is for you only, that the unlimited meals do not apply to retail locations, and that other than one piece of fruit or one dessert, food and beverages cannot be removed from either Brockway or Harrison Dining Halls. You may, however, use your Dining Dollars at any retail location.
Who can use my meal plan?
Meal plans (meals, Dining Dollars, and meal exchanges) are for the meal plan holder only. If you wish to pay for guests, acceptable forms of payment include guest passes, Easy Money, cash or credit card.
Can I purchase additional guest passes?

What are the hours of service?
The hours of service for our eight dining locations can be found here.
Back to top. What are "meals per week"?
Our Flex Five Plan contains five meals per week. These are all-you-care-to-eat meals that can be used in either Brockway or Harrison dining halls. Each time you use a meal, one is subtracted from your balance, and the number of meals remaining will display at the point of sale. Weekly meals are reset each Monday morning. Meals are for the meal plan holder’s use only.
Can I inquire at the register how many meals I have left?
Yes. In addition, if you are on the Two-A-Day Plan, Flex Five Plan, or the Network Plan your meal balance will display each time you swipe your card at Brockway or Harrison Dining Halls.
On the Two-A-Day Plan, if I eat only one meal today, will the second meal roll over to tomorrow?
No. Meals per day do not rollover. If you wish to purchase a third meal in a given day, you would need to use an alternate form of payment (Dining Dollars, Easy Money, cash, or credit card).
What are Dining Dollars?
Most meal plans come with a designated amount of Dining Dollars. Accessed through your Eagle One card, Dining Dollars act as a debit account for students to make meal purchases. Students like the flexibility of Dining Dollars because they can be used at any dining location on campus. And, you'll save 8% (New York State Tax) when you spend Dining Dollars instead of cash. When you make a purchase using Dining Dollars, that amount will be deducted from your account and the remaining account balance will display at the point of sale. You can add Dining Dollars to your account at anytime.

Back to top. Eagle One ID Cards
Where do I get an Eagle One card?
You must go in person to the Business Office on the first floor of Brockway Hall to get an Eagle One (ID) card or a replacement card.
Back to top. What if I lose my Eagle One card?
You must go in person to the Business Office on the first floor of Brockway Hall to get a new Eagle One card or a replacement card. If your Eagle One card is lost or stolen, we recommend that you deactivate your card until you either get a temporary card or purchase a new Eagle One card. Once you have deactivated your card you must go to the Business Office to reactivate your card, get a temporary ID card or purchase a new Eagle One card. There is a $25 replacement fee to replace your Eagle One card.
TEMPORARY CARDS: In the event that an Eagle One ID card is misplaced, a temporary card can be issued by going to the Business Office in Brockway Hall (M-F, 8 am-5 pm), or TRAX (M-F 5 pm-1 am, Sat & Sun 12 pm-1 am) if the Business Office is closed. The temporary card will expire in 4 days and MUST be returned to the Business Office or a $25 fine will be imposed. The temporary ID card replaces your Eagle One ID card; therefore if you find your ID card it will not work. You must bring the temporary ID card and your Eagle One ID card to the Business Office to reactivate your card.
The temporary ID card will not work for the residence hall entry system; you can get a temporary resident hall entrance card from your resident director.
Back to top. Can I loan my Eagle One card?
No. When you sign up for a meal plan, you are entering a contractual agreement with the college in return for tax-exempt status. Loaning your card to someone else is a direct violation of that agreement. Also, your Eagle One card protects you from identity theft and therefore protects your meal plans and Easy Money accounts.
Back to top. Where do I get accessories for my Eagle One card?
The College at Brockport lanyards are available from the Brockport Student Government offices or the Barnes & Noble College Bookstore. The Business Office sells plastic card holders for $1.00 that make it easy to carry your card on a lanyard or keychain.
Back to top. Why didn't my card work when I tried to purchase something?
To use your Eagle One card to purchase goods and services you need to have either a Dining Plan Account or an Easy Money account active on your card. If you did not purchase one, you may at the Business Office in Brockway Hall or you can sign up online. If you had an Easy Money account last semester, you may be low on funds and you may add more using the online account management tool (you need to know your Banner ID#).
Back to top. Why didn't my card work at the dining halls (Brockway and Harrison)?
There are several reasons this is possible:
- You have not purchased a dining plan or Easy Money. Commuter students are not assigned a dining plan unless they decide to purchase one.
- You do not have sufficient funds in your account. You can add more Dining Dollars or Easy Money online, by calling 585-395-2570, or by stopping at the Business Office in Brockway Hall.
- You have a defective or worn ID Card. Please go to the Business Office in Brockway Hall to get a new one.
Back to top. Why does the vending machine say "Reader Offline or Cash Only" when I swipe my card?
The vending machines are connected to the campus network, so anytime there is a network problem, the vending machines will go "offline" and thus swiping your card will not work. You can still use cash, but using your Easy Money on your Eagle One card to buy goods out of the vending machines requires a working network connection in order to function correctly. It's also possible that the vending machine is simply malfunctioning, so we really depend on users to be our eyes and let us know when problems arise so that we can act promptly.
If you wish to report a machine with this problem please click here. Please include the type of machine, building and floor number.
Back to top. Why doesn't my Eagle One card open my residence hall door?
The Eagle One card is used as a universal identifier. For security reasons, each residence hall controls access to their areas. If your Eagle One card does not work in the residence hall door that you should have access to, contact the adminstrator at Residential Life.
