Planning GuideARRANGEMENTSYour catering arrangements can be made through the Catering Office located in the Seymour College Union. Call (585) 395-2379 for an appointment. PLANNINGPlan the menu with the Catering Office
at least twenty days prior to your function. Earlier reservations will
assist in obtaining the date and room of your choice. Discuss all details
of your event at this time. Services can be arranged for groups from 10
- 800. ROOM AND TABLE SET UPThe atmosphere, as well as the meal
itself, can make or break the event. Discuss your ideas with our staff
so we can help you portray the theme of your choice. The following rooms
are available depending on the size of your group. Ballroom - in Seymour College Union will seat 475 people banquet style, 800 reception style. *May be subject to $1.50 per person china/glass fee. ROOM RATES FOR CATERING FACILITIESRoom fees are based on sales levels and length of the event. If a food and beverage do not meet minimum criteria, a room charge may be added. Contact the catering office for information. GUARANTEEThe guarantee count is the minimum amount of
people for which there will be a charge regardless of the number attending.
This number should be submitted no less than five working days prior
to the event. ALCOHOL POLICYSUNY Brockport's alcohol policy is presented in writing to any individual wishing to book a catered event which includes the serving of alcoholic beverages. This policy must be signed by the contracting party, thereby agreeing to comply with the stipulations set forth before a Special Events Contract is confirmed. As dictated by state law, no one under 21 years of age will be served an alcoholic beverage at a BASC event. No one under the age of 21 may sign a contract for services involving alcohol. Two forms of identification, including one picture ID will be the required proof of age.Food and nonalcoholic beverages must be made available at all events where alcohol is served. We also have a designated driver program which we encourage patrons to utilize for such events. On-campus clubs and organizations should contact the catering department for requirements for alcohol use. A liquor license fee is required at some event locations. On Campus Food Waiver InformationBASC has a contract with The College at Brockport to be the sole food provider on campus. Food waivers are only provided for events in non-BASC facilities and must be approved prior to the event. For more information, please call 395-2379. |
